Cowboy Bebop Released on Netflix Ahead of Live-Action Series Premiere

Everyone is already looking forward to Cowboy Bebop and Netflix has an awesome way to hype up its premiere. The anime by Shinichiro Watanabe is now available on the streaming service, a full month before the live-action adaptation's release date.

The Netflix Geeked Twitter account confirmed that Cowboy Bebop is now available on the streaming service. In honor of the anime's worldwide release on Netflix, they shared the opening sequence featuring Tank! by Yoko Kanno.

This is great news for fans who have been hoping to catch up on the anime before the premiere of Cowboy Bebop's live-action series. After all, it would be nice to see how Spike Spiegel and Jet Black first ended up taking Ein on the Bebop, among other things.

But will the new show actually adapt all of the episodes of the anime? Showrunner André Nemec had made it clear that the series will not be doing that. However, we will be seeing certain Cowboy Bebop characters making their live-action debut.

One possibility is that the first episode of the anime will also serve as the adaptation's premiere episode. Asteroid Blues introduced Asimov and Katerina, a couple who sell a drug called Bloody-Eye. It has already been confirmed that the couple will appear in the live-action series and will be played by Jan Uddin and Lydia Peckham, respectively.

It is also possible that we'll get to see Ein's origins in the Cowboy Bebop series. In the anime, the Welsh Corgi was actually stolen by a thief named Hakim, who is a major bounty-head for Spike. Hakim will be played by Cali Nelle in the upcoming show.

The Cowboy Bebop anime is now streaming worldwide on Netflix. The live-action adaptation starring John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, and Daniella Pineda will premiere on the streaming service on November 19, 2021.
