Cobb Vanth made his surprise return to the Star Wars franchise in The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 much to the delight of MandoVerse fans. The character, first introduced in 2015's Star Wars: Aftermath is a staple in the novels but it wasn't until he appeared in The Mandalorian's "Chapter 9: The Marshal" that fans became familiar with Vanth who once donned Boba Fett's Mandalorian armor.

However, despite the thrilling reception actor Timothy Olyphant received for reprising the role, not everyone was excited to see Cobb Vanth back in action. Turns out, creator Chuck Wendig wasn't exactly a fan of Lucasfilm giving him the cold shoulder.

On Twitter, Wendig aired his frustrations after learning that The Book of Boba Fett's sixth chapter didn't put him in the credits. He sarcastically wrote: "Always dig it when big media properties have a special thanks for the writers and creators who contributed to their worlds and stories, and it’s a bummer when they don’t do that, and I bring this up for absolutely no reason at all and I will almost certainly delete this tweet."

Of course, being the brainchild of the character, Wendig has every right to feel pissed about being snubbed especially after the episode used the fan-favorite character extensively. Speaking of Vanth, Chapter 6 seemingly saw the end of the Marshal of Freetown at the hands of Cad Bane who is making his live-action debut. Of course, there's still a good chance that he actually survived Bane's gunshot and I hope that's the case because Boba and his team could definitely use his help.

The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6 is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
