What Citadel is All About

The Russo Brothers, who have previously worked on films such as Avengers: Infinity War, are the producers of Citadel. Citadel has been in development since 2018 and was previously advertised as a "multi-layered international event series," per The Hollywood Reporter. A spin-off series in the local language is planned for Spain, Mexico, the Italian Alps, and India.

The original budget for the first season was a staggering $160 million, but reshoots added an additional $75 million. This drama has not deterred Amazon from pushing Citadel Season 2, despite the fact that the show has not yet debuted.

Featuring Chopra and Madden as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, the series focuses on a defunct autonomous spy organization named Citadel and follows the agents that served the organization in a past life. A recent trailer provided a sneak peek at this ambitious premise, which follows the agents in their new lives as they strive to resurrect the group from the grave.
