Chris Pratt’s Marvel Co-Stars Jump to His Defense After Twitter Tries to Cancel Him

The stars of Avengers had just held a fundraiser for Joe Biden's campaign, and though not all were present, there has been a lot of attention going to Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt. A lot of people on Twitter are currently attempting to ‘cancel' Pratt for being part of a homophobic church and being a ‘closet Trump supporter'; now Pratt's co-stars from Marvel are showing their support for him, and saying he doesn't deserve to be cancelled.

Here are messages from Avengers co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo:

Even Josh Gad (Frozen) had something to say about Pratt:

Most of all, Pratt also has the support of his collaborators from Guardians of the Galaxy Zoe Saldana and director James Gunn:

Seeing that Gunn had also been at the receiving end of Cancel Culture that got him fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn has actually been very vocal about his defense on Pratt, and wants people to think that just because he's a Christian, doesn't mean that he agrees with everything they say.

Though I don't know Pratt personally, I have been a huge fan of him since his Parks and Recreation days, and based on interviews and stories, he always seems like a very genuine person. His cast mates have nothing but great things to say about him, and he always has great stories and very wholesome advice. Even if he is a Christian, I don't think that's immediate grounds for being a terrible person—which some people are trying to get at.

For now, Pratt is expected to appear in the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which is expected to come out sometime after 2022.
