Avengers: Endgame might have given Captain America the perfect ending by allowing him to go back in time and live out the rest of his life with Peggy Carter but it looks like there are rumors going around saying that Chris Evans may very well find his way back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon.

According to TVO from the Lords of the Long Box, word on the street says that Marvel may be throwing around the idea for Evans to either star in an original Human Torch series.

The rumor says that Marvel wants Evans to play Jim Hammond, a different version of the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four. Sure, Evans might have already played the character in Fox's original Fantastic Four movie from 2005 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, however, fans have to remember that the actor only played Johnny Storm.

Jim Hammond is a different version of the Human Torch who began his existence as an android in 1939 in Professor Phineas T. Horton's laboratory. Johnny Storm, on the other hand, gained his powers after an accident in space.

As interesting as this new rumor sounds, it sounds highly improbable for Marvel to give Evans the Human Torch role. Not only did the actor play Johnny Storm before, but Marvel fans already associate the Marvel star with Captain America. It's hard not to see Evans on the big screen and not see Steve Rogers. If Marvel were to bring the Fantastic Four to the big screen, it's more likely that we'd be seeing a new actor playing Jim Hammond or Johnny Storm.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
