Jose Torres joins Chicago P.D. Season 9 Episode 18. Torres is dressed in a cop uniform and appears to be talking with one of the Intelligence Unit agents in the new episode's promo.

However, the teaser clip depicts Jay Halstead growing distrustful of Torres. "He tried to put a guy in the ground," Halstead tells Hank Voight. And a clash between Halstead and Torres ensues.
Meanwhile, the trailer's text adds, "Who really is... this recruit?" This adds fuel to the fire that Torres is up to no good.
Who the hell is Jose Torres?
Fans see new recruit Jose Torres for the first time in Chicago P.D. Season 9 Episode 18. And while actor Dennis Garcia doesn't have many other credits to his name, One Chicago fans will recognize him.
Jose Torres first appeared in Chicago P.D. Season 8, Episode 4, Unforgiven, Distractify notes. According to the publication, Intelligence investigated the murder of police officer Mike Blaine, which led them to a woman named Maria. Maria revealed to Intelligence that Blaine had been shielding her from her abusive ex-boyfriend. Torres was the abuser.
During Season 8 Episode 4, Torres was eventually caught and jailed for murdering Mike Blaine. But now, he returns as an officer himself. Given the events of the previous season, it's unclear how Torres' path unfolded, but we expect Season 9 Episode 18 to fill in the blanks. Furthermore, we doubt Voight will accept Torres as a member of the squad because he knew Blaine.
It’s uncertain where Chicago P.D. Season 9 Episode 18 will leave off with Jose Torres. But the ongoing crime drama will continue well into the finale.
