With new guests climbing aboard Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 4, why did Chef Cloyce choose to order cake instead of baking it himself? The rest of the crew were left displeased with his performance. Here's all you need to know.

Chef Cloyce Gets Told Off By the Captain For Fooling Around

On the second day of the charter, Below Deck Sailing Yacht accommodates new guests for an intimate 60th birthday party on the Parsifal III.

The problem lies with Chef Cloyce willingly choosing to fool around in the water before even committing to his job of preparing the guests' meals, which Captain Glenn was not happy about.

It was already 3:30 PM, and he only managed to start prepping 15 minutes before their guests came back on deck. Cloyce claimed he only needed 20 minutes to serve their guests.

Considering the time limit before their guests come back, Captain Glenn already knew starting at 3:45 was no smart move. But all the chef could say was, "You sit back and relax, baby, I got you" in the confessional.

Apart from the lack of preparation for the main course, Parsifal III chief stew Daisy found Chef Cloyce's choice for the cake utterly questionable.

Captain Glenn may have warned Chef Cloyce about being unprofessional on the yacht, but Daisy was not willing to let him off that easy.

The chef made their guests wait for their lunch after having their fun, leaving the crew to stall and give more time to Cloyce. However, to make things worse, Chef Cloyce ruined the most essential thing about the birthday celebration: the cake.

Instead of baking it himself, Cloyce ordered the birthday cake, which fell apart on the counter after microwaving it. Daisy criticized the chef for being completely underprepared, and called the microwaved cake a 'strudel'-looking 'dogsh*t.'

Cloyce apparently ordered the cake as he didn't want to bake it from scratch like the rest of the lunch-dinner combo.

Cloyce took the pieces of the cake and attempted to make a perfect circle of it that seemed 'passable' for a cake.
