Star Wars has always been filled to the brim with Easter Eggs, and The Rise of Skywalker is no exception. Though we don't get a good look of it in the movie, the mascot for J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot actually appears in Baby Frik's shop.
Here it is from a BTS video:

Admittedly, there are some that think that the robot looks out of place in the movie, but I think that it's coming from place of animosity towards Abrams. Personally, I think it's a cute Easter Egg, and I think it's kind of a shame it didn't make it to the film. Maybe it'll have a name in a canon book in the futureāmaybe that can call it JJ-8RAM or something.
For now, it looks like Abrams is finally putting Star Wars behind him. With so much pressure for TROS to stick the landing, it's kind of sad that Abrams and his team didn't manage to get there. Hopefully with the hiatus, Lucasfilm can focus on a better direction for the franchise moving forward; something less fanservice-y, and more faithful to what Star Wars really stands forāwhatever that is.
When it's discovered that the evil Emperor Palpatine did not die at the hands of Darth Vader, the rebels must race against the clock to find out his whereabouts. Finn and Poe lead the Resistance to put a stop to the First Order's plans to form a new Empire, while Rey anticipates her inevitable confrontation with Kylo Ren. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.
