I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World: A Bullied Young Boy Gains Immense Powers
The fantasy anime is based on the light novel of the same name written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima.
The series revolves around Yuuya, who has been a victim of bullying all his life. However, his life changes completely when he opens a door to another world.
Upon entering, he finds himself in a cottage that is filled with powerful weapons.
While experimenting with the weapons, Yuuya comes across a monster. After beating it, he instantly powers up.
Moreover, his body goes through a remarkable transformation.
During the first season, Yuuya manages to get into one of the most popular schools called the Ousei Academy.
He also gathers new allies namely, Night, Akatsuki, and Lexia in the other world.
Will There Be a Season 2 of Cheat Skill in Another World?
At the Fantasia Bunko Daikanshasai Online 2023 livestream event, Kadokawa announced that a new anime based on Miku and Rein's light novel series, I Got Cheat Skill in Another World, is happening.
However, the nature of this new anime is yet to be confirmed, so at this point, it is difficult to say if it will be a second season, a movie, or an OVA.
To celebrate the new anime, Rein illustrated Lexia von Arselia for fans of the light novel and anime series.
The anime has done well in its first season due to an interesting plotline that is different from a standard, run-of-the-mill isekai anime.
Moreover, there is a sizeable fanbase for the light novel and anime. And given its popularity, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World season 2 looks like a strong possibility.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Season 2 Release Date Predictions
As previously mentioned, the official release date of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World season 2 is not yet announced.
However, studio Millepensee and the makers of the anime must be pleased by the response the first season got.
With the new anime getting confirmed, Millepensee will likely make an official announcement regarding season 2 soon.
