Charlie Cox is still considered by many as the definitive live-action version of Daredevil but when the Netflix series ended in late 2018, Marvel fans lost hope that they'll ever get to see him again as the Man Without Fear especially considering the streaming giant's Marvel shows aren't exactly canon to Marvel Studios' already established Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, rumors began swirling last year that Cox may actually be MCU-bound after all, and according to several reputable sources, Matt Murdock will be one of the key characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home, serving as Peter Parker's legal counsel. Of course, Marvel Studios has played coy about everything Spidey-related ahead of its December release but all signs seem to point to Cox appearing in the film.

In a stunning new development, the 38-year-old actor pulled out from his supposed convention appearance at the San Antonio-based Celebrity Fan Fest. Taking to Twitter, the organizers of the event revealed that Charlie had to cancel his appearance due to "last-minute filming schedule changes". Interestingly, No Way Home is set to undergo additional photography in the coming days.

Coincidence? I think not but still, Kevin Feige and his crew have yet to confirm anything so it's only natural for some fans to feel skeptical about the reports surrounding Cox's alleged appearance in No Way Home, as well as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's rumored involvement.

All three seasons of Daredevil are available for streaming on Netflix.
