Channing Tatum recently shared an awesome behind-the-scenes look at his long-awaited debut as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The actor finally played the iconic mutant in the recent MCU film years after the plans for his solo Gambit movie were shelved in the aftermath of Disney acquiring Fox.
For years, fans thought that they would never see Tatum get to play Gambit on screen, and, thankfully, that all changed this year as Deadpool & Wolverine's multiversal storyline paved the way for the actor to finally portray the role.

In his recent social media post, Tatum posted a behind-the-scenes video of his training sessions in preparation for playing Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine.
"Couillon-zwah!" he wrote in his caption which is in reference to his character's Cajun slang.
Tatum looked like he was having a fun time working on the film since he was able to finally play Gambit on screen after all these years, and you can tell from the video that he was very passionate about the role.
Days after the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Tatum addressed his appearance as Gambit in the film and thanked Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy for letting him be part of the project.
"But since then I can say that there is almost no one that has had my back in this industry more than [Ryan Reynolds]. I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever," he wrote.
"Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me. I love ya buddy. [Shawn Levy] as well. Truly such a brilliant creator on every single level."
While it remains to be seen whether this will lead to Tatum playing the MCU version of Gambit in the future, it is still an exciting treat for many fans and the actor as we were finally able to get a glimpse of what his version of Gambit looks like.
Deadpool & Wolverine is showing in theaters everywhere.
