Chadwick Boseman Tribute Revealed in Spider-Man: Miles Morales

2020 has been a year fill of tragedies, and one of the biggest losses no doubt was Black Panther icon Chadwick Boseman. With the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS5, it's been revealed that the game actually has a tribute to Boseman.

While it's not really in-game, this tribute is said to be in the credits:

It reads:

In loving memory of a noble king, Chadwick Boseman.

His honor, strength, and compassion will reverberate for generations to come.

Wakanda forever.

The loss of Chadwick Boseman had really come as a huge blow to fans, especially the black community. Not only did Boseman die at a very young age, but it had also been revealed that he was battling cancer for years throughout his time working with Marvel. It was even said that he was confident that he was going to beat cancer this year, but complications eventually lead to his death.

As of now, fans don't know how Marvel should treat the passing of Boseman. While some think the y should just have T'Challa die in-canon, there is a discussion on who should take up the Black Panther mantle. Should it be T'Challa's sister Shuri (Letitia Wright)? Or would M'Baku (Winston Duke) make a good fit, seeing as he had forged a friendship with T'Challa over the course of the films?

If anything, Marvel still has a lot of time on their hands to think it over. After all, their debut for Phase 4 has gone through a huge delay thanks to COVID-19.

In the meantime, you can catch Spider-Man: Miles Morales available on Nov. 12.
