Cells at Work Code Black is based on the spin-off of the speculative shōnen manga Cells at Work! The premise unfolds in the most mysterious of places; the human body. Cells at Work Code Black, in particular, focusing on a body that is struggling due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

The main characters are anthropomorphized blood cells, hard at work to ensure the body functions normally.

While of course, it isn't a substitute for proper schooling, the story has been praised for its educational value as it informs fans about the working of the human body in a fun way.

Cells at Work Code Black Episode 9 will air next Thursday the 18th of February 2021 for premium Funimation users. If you are streaming for free, you'll have to wait an extra week, until the 25th of February, but episode 8 will then become available to you on the 18th.

Cells at Work Code Black airs at midnight, Japan time, according to MyAnimeList. Depending on your time zone, you might be able to access the episode earlier or later. For the US, this would be around 10:00 AM on the 17th of January, and around 04:00 PM on the 17th for Central Europe.

Can't choose between Crunchyroll and Funimation? Cells at Work episodes can be found in both. However, only the first two episodes of Cells at Work Code Black are currently available to stream for free on Crunchyroll. Hopefully, the rest will follow in due course.
