Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Was Taught How to Make a 'Cool Face'

If there's one thing we've learned about modern-day superheroes, it's that they have to look cool. From blue boy scouts like Superman to patriotic badasses like Captain America, everyone needs to have an edge without being edgy, otherwise, you're an angsty teenager with terrible fashion sense. Thankfully, Brie Larson looks pretty cool in this week's Captain Marvel but it turns out she had to learn how to make a "cool face."

No joke, Larson revealed that Marvel has people that teach you how to make one of these "cool faces" while she was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel. It seems like Larson managed to get that look right since the actress had to use her cool face for multiple photos that will be used for posters, toys, lunch boxes, and future blu-ray releases.

"I trained for nine months and got super strong. But then you also have to learn weird things, like how to make a cool face."

Yeah, it's a bit odd, but you do have to consider how marketing works. What would you rather buy? A lunch box with a cool-looking Captain Marvel with a determined face and clenched fists? Or a backpack with Carol Danvers doing one of the Great Saiyaman's odd poses? For the record, this writer loves Great Saiyaman.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8.
