Bullet Train Star Brad Pitt Reveals How He Relates To His Character’s Anger Issues

Academy-Award winner Brad Pitt is officially back in his action flick roots with David Leitch's action-comedy film, Bullet Train.

The film centers on Pitt’s character Ladybug - a ruthless assassin tasked to retrieve a confidential briefcase on a highly-developed train.

However, it turns out that he is not the only professional killer on the train and apparently registered himself on an assassin battle royal field.

Aside from the high-profile assassins he has to face, it seems that Ladybug must settle some internal dilemmas first, mainly fixing his anger issues, which Pitt can surprisingly relate to.

Brad Pitt Relates to Ladybug’s Anger Issues

In an interview with Sunrise, Pitt candidly admitted that he relates to his character, Ladybug, in terms of occasionally losing his temper.

“[Ladybug is] trying really hard [to relax]," he said. He's such a chump. He just can't get out of his own way and it just makes me laugh."

The 58-year-old actor was asked if he is a "zen-guy" to which he confessed:

“Listen, I can be all things. I mean, I'm pretty laid-back but I can lose it and lose my (expletive), and I can certainly step in (expletive) and put my foot in my mouth. So, [the film is] just making fun of all of that, where the big laugh is.”.

Brad Pitt on His Battle with Anger Issues

Pitt's behavior remains a hot topic in Hollywood and even fueled more buzz after his controversial divorce from Angelina Jolie. However, it's not the first time that the actor admitted suffering from anger issues. In a previous interview with Interview Magazine, he revealed that he sometimes loses his hand off the wheel.

“I lose it at times. I get sucked into something, and I can lose it. I take my hands off the wheel... I'm human. I'm realizing, as a real act of forgiveness for myself for all the choices that I've made that I'm not proud of, that I value those missteps, because they led to some wisdom, which led to something else."

Bullet Train highlights an ensemble cast featuring Brad Pitt as the lead assassin Ladybug, King as Prince, Joey King as the mysterious psychopathic assassin who hides behind her innocent schoolgirl outfit, Sandra Bullock as Ladybug's handler, and according to recent reports, Lady Gaga is also playing a mysterious role in the film.

Bullet Train will hit the big screens on August 5.
