After news emerged that BTS' V paid for the treatment of tvN's Jinny's Kitchen mascot dog, Perro, it was later cleared that the Korean sweetheart didn't do so.

Daily Sports exclusively reported that it wasn't V who paid for Perro's treatment but Jinny's Kitchen's drone camera staff. That guy from the production team funded the canine's vaccinations and treatment for his leg, not the singer.

Perro's Treatment

A Twitter user made a post about Perro, claiming a local staff member had adopted the dog.

The netizen claimed V had paid for the pooch's vaccination and leg treatment before leaving for South Korea. As expected, the tweet went viral.

However, Daily Sports cleared the claim after contacting the show's production staff.

Though the production official was thankful for the interest Perro received, it cleared that it was the team who helped the dog and not just the K-pop idol.

Perro the Stray Dog

Perro is a stray dog that joined Jinny's Kitchen when he came to the restaurant during its filming.

From then on, he was regarded as the series' mascot and received much love from the viewers.

The cast, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Sik, and V himself, became close to Perro, making the latter an honorary restaurant staff member.

V as a Dog Lover

V is known as a dog lover. Back in 2017, he adopted the dog Yeontan despite knowing his poor health.

He first consulted a professional dog trainer, Kang Hyung Wook, who revealed on tvN's Somehow a Grown-Up that the 27-year-old was the most memorable person he met during a consultation.

"V came to our center, and I assumed he had a puppy," he said via AllKpop. "However, he actually didn't have one yet and was planning to adopt one. He asked me, 'What do I need to do to prepare so that I can raise a puppy well?'"

That made Kang Hyung surprised.

"Most of the people who come to see me have complaints or frustrations about their puppies," he continued. "He seemed so cool to have come with the intention of learning how to properly raise a puppy. With that action, he showed that he's a true pet owner."
