BTS Jimin's much-awaited solo debut will finally happen in a day—Friday, March 24. But behind the fans' excitement and the grand unveiling, the idol shared the hard work he must do to make it happen.
From his diet to his weight loss struggles, the 27-year-old gave everyone a glimpse of his intense preparations in a behind-the-scenes clip of his music video production for "Set Me Free Pt. 2," his pre-release single. So, what's the biggest challenge for Jimin? It's to maintain a 50 kg-weight range.
Jimin Shares Efforts for Solo Debut
In the clip, the idol admitted he struggled with his weight loss journey and the difficulties of maintaining his weight.
"It's not easy keeping my weight within the 50 kg [110 lbs] to 59 kg [130 lbs] range, but I'm kind of getting used to it now," he said, via AllKpop.
He then revealed his secret to following a strict diet and exercise regimen to lose weight.

"Every night, I write down what I want to eat before going to bed. Yesterday I wrote, Kalguksu, Daechang, and Ramyeon," he continued. "It's been so long since I've had Tteokbokki too. Kalguksu with Kimchi sounds really amazing."
After seeing this post, fans started to take a look back at Jimin's past interviews about his weight.
At the time, he said he only weighed 58.6 kg (129 lbs.) while standing at 174 cm (5'8.5") tall.

"Jimin said himself that he likes being at this weight because he feels lighter when he dances," one fan stated.
With his effort to maintain and shed some weight, others lauded the hitmaker for successfully staying in this figure and the hard work he had put in to do so.
Jimin's Solo Debut Teasers
Meanwhile, Jimin has been dropping teasers for his upcoming solo debut.
Before his solo track, "Set Me Free Pt.2," dropped on March 17, he released a music video teaser for it. He also shared a "software versions" teaser for his solo debut album, Face.
