Brie Larson Praises The Marvels Co-Star Iman Vellani

There is little doubt that people are still surprised that The Marvels has been pushed back to a November release date. Still, it hasn't dampened Brie Larson's spirits as she raved about her co-star Iman Vellani, proclaiming the Miss Marvel actress as "one of my favorite people on this earth."

We already know that The Marvels will feature Carol Danvers working with Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau. Not surprisingly, Brie Larson had great things to say about Iman Vellani when she spoke to Entertainment Weekly.

"Iman is the future," Larson said. "She is the perfect Ms. Marvel and the most incredible person and castmate. I'm so excited for her success and I'm so excited to see what she will do with her life because she can do anything she wants. She's one of my favorite people on this earth."

Larson then stated that Miss Marvel is one of the reasons why she wanted to work on the sequel.

"A huge part of why I wanted to play Captain Marvel was because of Ms. Marvel and what that meant," she said. "To see that character realized by such a brilliant human with so much potential is just a really exciting thing."

"I feel like the big joke is always that you're being schooled by people younger than you," Larson added with a laugh. "So I'm sure there are ways that I've been able to be of service to her, but also at the same time, she teaches me so much every single day. I'm just grateful for her friendship."

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. The Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel was initially set to premiere in July but has been pushed back to a later release date on November 10, 2023.
