Bridgerton has become one of the most popular series on Netflix. If there is one thing we know about Shonda Rhimes, it is that when she takes on a project, it will be excellent and full of drama.

Adapted from series of bestselling historical romance novels by Julia Quinn, Bridgerton has become a worldwide phenomenon. It follows the story of Daphne Bridgerton, who is on a journey to find love. But, finding love is easier said than done, and she starts a tumultuous yet enjoyable expedition to end up with a love match finally.

A lot happened in the season finale of Bridgerton season 1, which will most likely carry on to the hit show's second season. The star of the series, Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), was seen giving birth to her and Simon's (Rege-Jean Page) son, who will become the Duke of Hastings one day.

Marina Thompson (Ruby Baker) accepts Sir Phillip Crane's (Luke Newton) hand in marriage. Daphne's brother, Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), wants to find a wife, seriously. Lastly, Lord Featherington (Ben Miller) dies, and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is revealed to be none other than Lady Whisteldown.

With all that has happened in the last season, there are still many unanswered questions and mystery and drama that need to be sorted out. Here's what to expect on Bridgerton Season 2.

BridgertonSeason 2 Plot: How Will The Story Play Out?

With the show being adapted from a series of novels by author Julia Quinn, it would not be hard to imagine how the second season will play out. The Bridgerton series offers a very insightful eye to what Bridgerton season 2 will tackle.

The first season, loosely based on the first novel of the Bridgerton series, saw Daphne getting married to her love match, The Duke of Hastings. According to the second novel in the series, Bridgerton season 2 may shift its focus towards Daphne's brother Anthony and his search to find a wife, and this time the eldest Bridgerton is serious.

Anthony, in the last season, is done with dating for love. Anthony realized that he needed to marry for duty and not love his on-and-off relationship with opera singer Siena. He expresses to both Daphne and Simon (Duke of Hastings) that he is determined to find a viscountess to marry.

"I've finally determined the difficulty: love itself," Anthony says. "Removing it from all romantic relations shall make me all the better for it. No more distractions from responsibility or being waylaid from the sensible path."

Hopefully, Anthony's journey to finding his wife is as colorful as Daphne's wayward expedition; then, we expect that Bridgerton is renewed for a third season.

BridgertonSeason 2 Premiere Date
