BLINKs want Rolling Stone Korea to issue an apology to BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Lisa after allegedly “disrespecting” the two over the article it wrote about them.

Fans can’t help but find it disrespectful when Rolling Stone Korea writes that Jisoo doesn’t possess the “most outstanding talent in the group” and uses the words “exotic” and “kink” to describe Lisa.

The Alleged ‘Disrespectful’ Article about BLACKPINK Jisoo

Sure, fans enjoy Rolling Stone magazine’s interview with BLACKPINK, but they don’t like the recent article Rolling Stone Korea posted about them.

In a write-up about Jisoo, it said,

"Although she does not possess the most outstanding talent in the group as a vocalist or dancer, her growth is more apparent."

Though the publication didn’t intend the feature negatively, fans didn’t like how it said the K-pop star didn’t have the “most outstanding talent.”

AllKpop noted the magazine meant to praise the Snowdrop star and showed her growth as a K-pop girl group member throughout the years.

However, it seemed to end up comparing her to other members, undermining her talent.

With the turnout, fans can’t help but express their anger on social media, wanting Rolling Stone Korea to issue an apology.

Alleged Racist Remarks on BLACKPINK Lisa

Rolling Stone Korea’s way of referring to Lisa’s appearance also doesn’t sit well on fans. It has been known that the “LALISA” hitmaker has been the target of racist attacks due to her Thai ethnicity.

With that said, fans made “Apologize to Lisa” trend on Twitter for using the words “exotic” and “kinks” to describe her, calling it “racist” and “xenophobic.”

In the article, it wrote,

“The unique presence of Lisa, created by her overpowering physical charm and exotic appearance…highlight her identity as a solo artist.…her pronunciation in those songs is natural enough to prevent the listener from sensing any kinks from the foreign member of the group.”

Though fans have noticed that Rolling Stone Korea has changed the phrases in the article about Jisoo and Lisa, it’s yet to issue a formal apology, per Koreaboo.

As of this writing, the publication is yet to address the issue.
