Black Widow Star Scarlett Johansson Just Called Bruce Banner a Mutant

We already know that the X-Men are not yet part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe although this could be possible within the next few years. However, it looks like some of the MCU stars are a bit confused about mutants. Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson has just referred to Bruce Banner as a mutant.

Johansson is currently promoting the highly anticipated flick and she looked back at some of the best moments in the MCU while talking to Entertainment Weekly. Not surprisingly, the Jojo Rabbit star stated that the Battle of New York in the first Avengers film was one of the biggest scenes in the movies but also chose an interesting way to describe the Hulk.

"None of us knew if this movie was going to work. It seemed crazy," Johansson said. She then stated that the team was truly different.

"There's a Nordic God, there's the Tony Stark character the billionaire playboy, and then there's a mutant scientist who's got an anger management problem," Johansson said.

Wait, what? We're not sure if Johansson was just confused about how Banner got his powers. However, it does seem like an interesting tease on the possibility that we'll be seeing mutants in the MCU in the near future.

For now, Black Widow is one of the upcoming major films whose premiere date has not yet been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). Hopefully, the pandemic can be contained by the time the movie is set to hit theaters.

Black Widow is scheduled for release on May 1.
