We're now almost half a year away before Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters and we still have not seen any footage or sneak peek photo about the highly-anticipated sequel which will address the loss of T'Challa played by the late Chadwick Boseman. There were rumors that the first trailer will be released very soon. However, as it turns out, that is actually not the case at all.

Yesterday, TheOneRing.net reported that the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will debut this Friday, June 10 during the NBA finals game. However, Asad Ayaz, the President of Marketing at The Walt Disney Studios, quickly disputed the rumor and said that their report is "inaccurate." He didn't provide any information regarding the actual date.

While it might be disappointing to hear that we won't be seeing the trailer anytime soon, there are still five months away before the film gets released so there's still a lot of time prior for them to release a trailer and start ramping up the marketing campaign.

There is also the fact that Marvel is prioritizing the promotion of Thor: Love and Thunder right now since it's now a month away before its release. There is a possibility that they will release the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer before the film which is also soon enough. Either way, they will definitely release it sometime in the next several weeks.

The plot details for the film are currently under wraps. The cast is expected to include Lupita Nyong'o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Dominique Thorne, Tenoch Huerta, and Michaela Coel. Ryan Coogler is also back to direct and co-write the film with Joe Robert Cole.
