BIGBANG Taeyang and BTS Jimin hit a new milestone with their song, VIBE.
After six years of not releasing solo music, Taeyang chose to return through a collaboration with Jimin. Dropped on Jan. 13, the track served as the BIGBANG member's solo music since his 2017 album White Night, and Jimin's first solo release after BTS announced its hiatus.
A few weeks after Vibe's arrival, the track officially entered one of Billboard's charts.

BIGBANG's Taeyang, BTS' Jimin Makes It To Hot 100
Billboard officially announced Tuesday that Taeyang and Jimin's Vibe entered the magazine's Hot 100 chart.
The track secured the No. 76 spot, becoming their first entries on the chart as soloists. Previously, Vibe already appeared on Billboard's Global Excl. US Chart at No. 9.

Aside from Billboard, the song also dominated United Kingdom's Official Singles Chart and the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) 's Singles Chart.
The song debuted on the Official Singles Chart at No. 96. Meanwhile, it also debuted on the Official Singles Sales Chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart at No. 4.
BTS Jimin Says Taeyang Is His Idol
W Korea welcomed Jimin to its studio and hailed him as its latest solo cover star. During the interview, the K-pop idol was asked about his thoughts after becoming the global ambassador for Dior. He also talked about his solo career, including his collaboration with Taeyang.
According to Jimin, the Wedding Dress singer is his idol.
"Taeyang is like my idol. To the point where it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I've come this far with the goal of one day working on music with him. When I was younger, I felt and learned a lot while watching his promotions," he said.
Jimin added that when Taeyang contacted him about a chance to collaborate with him, he initially thought it was a lie. He then saw a much cooler side of Taeyang when they started working on their music, praising him for meticulously working throughout the production process.
