Beyoncé's Houston concert almost ended up in a mishap as her flying car malfunctioned mid-air during a performance.

The Grammy-winning music icon is currently in the middle of her Cowboy Carter tour across North America and Europe. It is expected to conclude at the end of the summer season.

What Happened in Beyoncé's Mid-Air Car Malfunction at the Concert?

According to Variety, during a performance of "16 Carriages" last Saturday night at her concert in Houston, Beyonce's flying car began to tip over mid-air.

The crowd screamed as the car continued to tip further to the side and feared that the singer might fall.

Fortunately, Beyoncé managed to go back to the ground safely, and the fans cheered the moment she stepped on the stage again.

She quipped to the fans, "If I ever fall, I know y’all would catch me."

The clip video of the incident immediately went viral online as soon as they were uploaded on social media.

The next night, Beyoncé chose not to perform "16 Carriages" and replaced it with a performance of "Amen" on her setlist.

How Did Beyoncé React to the Incident After the Concert?

After the concert, Parkwood, Beyoncé's production and management company, released a statement regarding the incident.

"Tonight in Houston, at NRG Stadium, a technical mishap caused the flying car, a prop Beyoncé uses to circle the stadium and see her fans up close, to tilt. She was quickly lowered, and no one was injured. The show continued without incident," they wrote.

The singer also posted a reel of the incident on her Instagram account with the caption, "Sittin’ Sidewayz," indicating that she is taking the situation with a sense of humor.

As mentioned, Beyoncé resumed the concert after the brief incident and went on as usual without any hiccups, and she made a change on her setlist the following night.

However, it is unclear yet whether "16 Carriages" has been permanently removed from the setlist, or the performance will be modified to reflect the safety issues.
