Batman and Joker Cosplayers Spotted Among Police Protests

As if dealing with the Coronavirus wasn't enough, the US has unwittingly been thrown another layer of turmoil when the murder of George Floyd last week had sparked protests against police brutality all over the country. It's gotten crazy in the streets from rioting to looting, and two guys have somehow decided it was the perfect setting for some Batman-inspired cosplay.

As you can see, there have been cosplayers spotted as Batman and Joker in separate protests. Check them out:

It's like scenes out of The Dark Knight Rises and Joker; what with Batman walking among the mobs and Joker being part of the crowd as well. I'll have to admit, it's pretty dangerous out there, but the nerve of these guys dressing up for the protests is oddly impressive. I mean, where else are you going to get an actual mob taking to the streets and causing mayhem?

On a more serious note though, the Batman cosplayer is actually getting some flak for using the protests as a photo opportunity. When asked about coming to the protests, he claims, he ‘wasn't taking any sides.' He's also been posting some insensitive selfies while pandemonium is happening in the background.

At least the Joker cosplayer is actually protesting ‘Justice for George' with a sign and all. How did the quote go? Either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Shame on you, Batman.

We don't know how long these protests will go on for, but they are certainly not to be taken advantage of, especially by cosplayers just looking for clout.
