Batgirl Plot Leaks Online Following Cancellation Report

Yesterday, Warner Bros. made a shocking decision by shelving the Batgirl film and not releasing it theatrically or on HBO Max. The move was made after already spending around $90 million and in the process of post-production. A lot of fans have expressed their disappointment as they will never be able to see the film and sympathize as well with the people involved in the making of the project.

Following the reports of the film's cancellation, Twitter user and notable scooper @ViewerAnon revealed some of the plot details in the now-canned Batgirl including Batman (Michael Keaton)'s scenes and Firefly (Brendan Fraser)'s backstory.

According to the scooper, Keaton only had five scenes in the film and he didn't train Barbara Gordon unlike what most fans speculated when his involvement was announced. He also meets her twice in costume and the last scene involves them "teaming up and diving off a gargoyle to fly around Gotham City."

Regarding Firefly's backstory in the film, the scooper revealed that he previously worked as a goon for a Gotham mob boss and is now working on a normal job to pay for his sick wife's healthcare. However, he got fired from his job and his health insurance was also canceled which resulted in him turning back to crime again.

Lastly, they also shared that they heard that J.K. Simmons is excellent in the film as Commissioner Gordon.

While the leaked plot details were not confirmed by the people involved in the film and it should be taken with a grain of salt, they are still interesting nonetheless as it gives us an idea of what we could have seen in the film. Considering that we won't ever have a chance to see it, fans are welcoming the leak and it made them more disappointed with the studio's decision.

Right now, it seems that it is 100% certain that the studio will not show any footage of the film publicly and the leak by @ViewerAnon is the most that we can get on what the film would have looked like.
