As of April 1st, 2021, no one (including Crunchyroll and Funimation) has announced this series as part of their spring simulcast lineup. This section will be updated as soon as an announcement is made.

Produced by studio Zexcs (Big Order, The Great Passage, Our Home's Fox Deity) and airing in Fuji TV's noitamina television block, this original series is following in the footsteps of other original sports series including Yuri!!! On Ice and Gymnastics Samurai which found their own levels of popularity. Will this series be able to properly capitalize on that previous success?

In this series, the main character is a high school boy named Shotaro Futaba who is in love with rhythmic gymnastics. Joining his high school team, Shotaro meets the other members of the team and shares laughs and tears with them as they strive to be the best gymnastics team in the country.

Directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (The Great Passage, Say "i love you"), they are working off scripts written by Toshizou Nemoto (Dog & Scissors, Log Horizon). Based solely on the trailers that I've seen, this series looks like it's going to be another hit for noitamina so long as the gymnastics scenes don't end up looking too overproduced.

If nothing else, we can at least count on the voice cast to be stellar thanks to the talents of Shimba Tsuchiya as main character Shotaro and Daisuke Ono as his teammate Masamune Shichigahama. Be prepared, however, because this series is already boasting quite a large cast of characters spread out over multiple high school gymnastics teams.

If you like sports anime and drama, you can certainly do much worse than to check out this series when it premieres on April 9th. It looks like it's going to be filled with plenty of heart and tears, which is never a bad thing in my book.
