The 60-year-old started to be active in the local hard rock scene in the 1980s and joined several bands.
He co-founded Guns N’ Roses in 1985 and found great success with several recognitions in the late 1980s and the early 1990s.
Their first album, Appetite for Destruction, dropped in 1987 and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It has even become the best-selling debut album of all time in the U.S., with 18 million units sold.

After the group held a two-and-a-half-year Use Your Illusion Tour in 1994, Rose disappeared from the limelight while the other band members went on their separate ways.
As the band’s remaining original member, he continued working under its banner after legally obtaining the band name.
He had a new lineup of the group at Rock in Rio 3 and started playing periodic concert tours to promote the much-awaited Chinese Democracy.

Meanwhile, Rose performed at the funeral of the late Lisa Marie at Graceland, the iconic Memphis, Tenn., the home of the latter’s father, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley.
He played the band’s song, “November Rain,” on a piano. He also spoke of the singer’s love for her family.
