Avengers: Endgame Japanese Banner Teases Second Defeat Against Thanos

There's a good reason why people are somehow wary of Avengers: Endgame. Although most fans are hoping that the survivors will ultimately manage to "avenge the Fallen," there's also a possibility that they will lose some important allies along the way. But is it possible that the heroes will once again be defeated by Thanos this April? A Japanese poster seems to suggest that this will be the end for the Avengers.

A fan spotted the Endgame poster at Shinjuko Station in Tokyo, Japan. They immediately snapped a photo and shared it on Twitter, along with the translation. Interestingly, the message appears to be rather grim. Take a look at the tweet below.

The numbers and text on the far side of the poster say, "Probability of meeting your soulmate at Shinjuku Station: 1/80000. Probability of the Avengers making a big reversal: 1/14000605."

However, the text under the image of the heroes has an ominous message: "The Avengers will end. For the sake of a new hope."

So could this mean that the survivors will suffer a second and more devastating defeat against Thanos? Although it sounds like the Mad Titan will once again win in Endgame, this could simply mean that the Avengers will be disassembled. As a result, new heroes who will play larger roles in the future Marvel Cinematic Universe films could be introduced.

This shouldn't be much of a surprise considering that Endgame will be the last MCU film before the studio's Phase 4. It's possible that Marvel will finally retire the Avengers in favor of new heroes in the coming years.

In addition to that, Endgame is said to be the final movie featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth. Nevertheless, there is hope that bigger things will be happening in the future.

Avengers: Endgame will premiere on April 26.
