Fans are both excited and wary about Avengers: Endgame for some good reasons. After all, the next Marvel Cinematic Universe flick could mean the end for some of the beloved characters. Interestingly, the recently described footage from the fourth Avengers film may have confirmed what would happen to Tony Stark this April.
A brief clip from Endgame was recently presented during the Disney shareholders meeting and details have actually made it to Twitter. It was revealed that Captain Marvel is finally joining the Avengers and is eager to kick some Mad Titan butt. However, the one thing that was sorely missing was any news about Tony.
People might point out that Tony is still in outer space on the Benatar and trying to find a way home. But the details confirmed that Nebula, who is Tony's only companion on the ship, has rejoined the heroes and has some important information to share.
"The Avengers Endgame scene they showed was at Avengers HQ, Captain Marvel saying let's go kill Tanos. Nebula says she knows where he is. Rocket says biggest energy surge ever seen on Earth when he used the glove, but it was seen again on another planet shortly after," the description read.
This certainly leads to a depressing question: What happened to Tony? Although fans are hoping he survived and managed to get back to Earth, others are worried that his absence in the scene means otherwise.
Of course, it's still possible that Tony was immediately brought to the hospital so he can be taken care of and is in no shape to join the fight just yet. On the other hand, there's a possibility that Tony may have told the team that he is retiring for good and went off to reunite with Pepper Potts.
These are all plausible ideas. However, they are all based on speculations so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
