Attack on Titan Fans React to The Final Season Director's Insane Overtime Schedule

There is little doubt that working on Attack on Titan: The Final Season has been a huge job for MAPPA and fans have previously noted that the animators often do a lot of overtime on the new episodes. But just how crazy are their schedules? Fans of the anime have noticed that Teruyuki Omine is working too hard and are demanding that the episode director be given enough rest!

A fan recently shared a screenshot of Teruyuki Omine's tweet where he reveals that he has gone home for the first time in three days. It didn't take long before other Attack on Titan fans found the post and began spreading the word on the insane overtime Omine needs to put in for Season 4 Part 2.

This isn't the first time that Teruyuki Omine has caused an uproar in the fandom. People had previously defended the animator after he was harassed by netizens over the use of 3D. It was pointed out that Omine was not even involved in the episode people were complaining about and fans were quick to side with the animator.

Omine has been heavily involved in the second part of Attack on Titan: The Final Season. He directed the episode Two Brothers which highlighted the brotherhood between several characters and is believed to be one of the best episodes in the anime so far. With that in mind, we're hoping Omine gets enough rest so he can continue working on more episodes in the future.

The latest episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 was directed by Jun Shishido, Hidekazu Hara, and Kio Igarashi. Episode 81 depicted the chaos as the Titans attacked anyone in sight and Gabi desperately tried to find Falco.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 23 is titled Sunset ("Yuyake"), which is also the title Chapter 125 in the manga. Episode 82 will air on Monday, February 20, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
