Attack on Titan Executive Shares Latest Update on Anime


Are you excited for the final season of Attack on Titan? Well, if you’re dying to know at least a bit of update, one of the executives have shared some tidbits of where the anime project is currently at.

A recent tweet from the Attack on Titan anime’s sound director revealed that Masafumi Mima has just started doing the song selection process to present it to director Yuichiro Hayashi.

The Attack on Titan manga officially concluded this year and many people are looking forward to the final act of the anime adaptation. The previous season was definitely a roller coaster ride for the fans, so many are expecting the hype to be bigger than its previous season. As of press time, there is still no word if Hajime Isayama is planning to continue the original story. However, potential new stories can be made in the world of Marley and Eldia, so there would still be a chance.

The first half of the final season of Attack on Titan concluded on March 29, 2021 and without a doubt was one of the trending anime topics on social media, especially on the microblogging site Twitter. Part 2 of the anime’s final season is scheduled to premiere on January 9 with the episode name “Danzai (Sentencing).” There is still no announcement yet as to where the anime’s second half will be streamed. The highly anticipated anime series will be still be animated by MAPPA.

The first Attack on Titan anime series premiered in Japan on April 2013, which was then followed with the second season in April 2017. The first part of the third season aired in July 2018, which was then followed with the second half on April 2019. The previous seasons were animated by Wit Studio, but the first half of the final season was already animated by MAPPA.

We are definitely looking forward to what’s in store in the final half of Attack on Titan. This is sure to put everyone on the edge of their seat.
