Arrow might be over but that doesn't mean that David Ramsey will no longer appear in the Arrowverse. A new report confirms that Ramsey will appear in Legends of Tomorrow but he won't be playing John Diggle. Instead, it reveals Ramsey has been cast as a completely different character.
According to Deadline, Ramsey will be heavily involved in the Arrowverse shows. He is set to direct five episodes across different shows including Superman & Lois and Supergirl. In addition to that, Ramsey will reprise his role as John Diggle in the aforementioned shows as well as The Flash and Batwoman. However, it's his role in Legends of Tomorrow that already has people talking.
The report reveals that Ramsey will play "a mystery role" in Legends of Tomorrow Season 6. Although this particular character is being kept under wraps, fans believe that the series will finally introduce Ramsey as the Arrowverse version of Green Lantern.
There have been several clues suggesting that Ramsey would eventually play Green Lantern in the Arrowverse. In the Elseworlds crossover event, Earth-90 Barry Allen revealed that Diggle is the Green Arrow on his Earth. Additionally, the series finale of Arrow concluded with Diggle witnessing a meteor crash and finding a box emitting a green glow.
So are we finally going to see Arrowverse's Green Lantern? We're definitely keeping our fingers crossed.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the show is expected to return on The CW in 2021.
