Archdemon’s Dilemma season 2 hasn’t been announced yet, but with the first season ending, many viewers are no doubt hoping for it to get renewed soon.
This fantasy romance anime premiered back in April, and while it may not be the most talked-about show of the season, it has gained a dedicated fanbase thanks to its story. At least, for those who are not bothered by its premise.
Even though there’s no indication yet regarding a new season, we can look at the historical trends of the shows its studio has worked on.

An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride is the latest anime from Brain’s Base, the studio behind popular shows such as In/Spectre, To Your Eternity, and the first season of OreGairu.
As with most seasonal anime, this show is based on an ongoing light novel series of the same name. The novels began with the first volume, which was released in February 2017.
Along with the novel, the series also has a manga adaptation. Both versions of the story are published in English by J-Novel Club.
Looking at the spring 2024 anime lineup, Archdemon’s Dilemma isn’t the highest-ranked in terms of discussions.
For instance, it’s only the 13th-ranked show on MyAnimeList this season, and it’s usually not in Reddit’s top 10 highest-upvoted discussions every week.
Despite this, there’s still a good chance it gets renewed, as the source material is fairly popular in Japan. What’s more, its studio’s latest works have routinely gotten renewed for new seasons.
Is There Enough Source Material for a Second Season?
As the light novel series began in 2017, there are already 18 volumes released in Japan. Seventeen volumes are also available in English digitally via J-Novel Club.
Because of this, there should be plenty of material left for a second season. Even if it gets renewed with a two-cour season, the number of volumes out now should still be enough.
After all, even the fastest-paced anime can’t cover this number of volumes in just one season.
Archdemon's Dilemma Season 2’s Potential Story
Currently, the first season is still ongoing, with the final episode only set to air later this month. As such, fans will need to wait and see where the anime’s story ends compared to the light novel.
What’s clear is that if the new season gets announced, it will continue to follow Zagan and Nephy as their relationship deepens.
