Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Unveils Drastic New Look

Jason Momoa has long been associated with his long hair and since making his breakout appearance in Game of Thrones all the way to being cast as the DC Extended Universe's Aquaman, it's been a long while since we last saw the actor sport a different hairstyle.

Momoa has gone on record that he'll never cut his luscious locks, citing different reasons for it but now, the Justice League actor is making some serious changes in his appearance and it's all for a good cause.

Taking to his official Instagram, the star of the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom revealed that he shaved his head as a protest against single-use plastics. Momoa, staying true to his Aquaman role has been an advocate for the environment. He wrote: "heres to new beginnings let’s spread the aloha. be better at protecting our land and oceans. we need to cut single use plastics out of our lives and out of our seas. plastic bottles, plastic bags ,packaging, utensils all of it. let’s aloha our ‘āina together aloha j."

It's amazing to see how Jason has embodied the principles of Aquaman in real life and more celebrities should follow suit. Meanwhile, speaking of the Atlantean hero, rumor has it that the reason behind Aquaman 2's new release date has something to do with Warner Bros. Discovery ordering several DCEU flicks to do reshoots.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is now scheduled for release on December 25, 2023.
