Aquaman star Jason Momoa is arguably one of Tinseltown's biggest and hottest stars today but as crazy as it may sound, things weren't always that easy for him even after he became an overnight sensation following Game of Thrones. In fact, after his successful stint in the HBO hit fantasy series where he played Khal Drogo, Momoa apparently found it hard to land new acting gigs and according to him, it was quite a daunting struggle especially since he was starting his own family.

Speaking about it in his recent interview with InStyle, the Dune remake actor explained the hardships he had to go through following his Game of Thrones exit. "I mean, we were starving after Games of Thrones," Momoa shared. He added: "I couldn't get work. It's very challenging when you have babies and you're completely in debt." Thankfully, he was able to rise above the challenges and was able to land the role of a lifetime as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.

I'm guessing Momoa struggled with finding new acting jobs after GOT due to him being typecast in his Khal Drogo role which is a damn shame when you think about it. It's a good thing, however, that he didn't get all that discouraged and still had the guts to pursue his dreams and that right there is truly inspirational. Look where he is now. Hey, if there's anyone capable of rising above anything, it's gotta be Jason Momoa. He truly deserves all the good things coming his way.

Speaking of Momoa, he's set to appear in Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League which will hit HBO Max in 2021.
