Ant-Man and the Wasp is Finally Joining Disney+ Next Month

Disney is finally going to have the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ very soon.

Until the end of 2018, the House of Mouse had a deal with Netflix wherein the streaming giant would feature the company's new movies. Every Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars movie that would release in cinemas would eventually make its way to Netflix eight to nine months after it completes its theatrical release.

Starting 2019, Disney decided to shut down the deal with Netflix because of its upcoming streaming site Disney+, however, a few films remained under the contract with Netflix. That included Ant-man and the Wasp and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Now that the deal with Netflix has finally come to an end, Ant-Man and the Wasp can finally leave the library of the streaming giant and join all of Marvel's other offerings on Disney+ (via ComicBook.com).

Next month, Marvel fans can finally enjoy having access to all of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and all of the films in the Star Wars film franchise.

While this might be exciting news, fans are more eager to hear updates about Marvel's upcoming live-action series being developed for Disney+ like Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision.

A few of these projects were meant to premiere this year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has shut down all of Marvel's television and film productions. We have to wait and see whether Marvel will be releasing anything new on Disney+ this year.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
