Amber Heard's Sister Calls Out MTV for 'Disgusting' Johnny Depp VMA Appearance

There's no denying that Johnny Depp's personal and professional life took a huge 180 turn following his defamation trial win against his ex-wife Amber Heard. For a number of years, Hollywood has seemingly blacklisted the Pirates of the Caribbean actor but now, Depp is slowly making his presence felt again in the entertainment industry.

Naturally, the 59-year-old actor's family, friends, and supporters are thrilled that he's getting his long overdue Hollywood redemption but Heard's family continues to prove that the animosity between the ex-lovers is far from over. Amber's sister Whitney Henriquez recently took to social media to call out MTV for featuring Depp at the 2022 Video Music Awards.

The star-studded ceremony saw an appearance from the Fantastic Beasts star as the iconic MTV Moon Person and he even jokingly told the attendees that he "needed the work". Depp's appearance at the music spectacle became a trending topic on social media and soon after his VMAs involvement, Henriquez called out the network on her Instagram.

Obviously infuriated by Depp's appearance, Whitney wrote in her Instagram story update (via People): "@MTV you're disgusting and clearly desperate! I really hope that none of the people that made this call have daughters..."

As it stands, MTV and Johnny Depp have yet to issue a statement regarding the remarks made by Heard's sister. As for the Aquaman actress, she has been keeping things lowkey in her private life after her defamation trial loss but rumors have been rampant online that she's been offered a multi-million deal to star in an adult film project.

Her DC Extended Universe career is also in doubt and the general belief right now is that she'll make her final appearance as Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
