All of Us Are Dead has easily captured everyone’s interest, thanks to its great visuals, wonderful storyline and stellar cast members. So as many are now waiting for its second season, here are some fun details fans need to know.

The Made-Up Hyosan High School Building in All of Us Are Dead

Many fans may think that the Hyosan High School Building, which became the ground zero of the zombie breakout, is a real school. However, it is especially constructed for the series and doesn’t really exist.

The Swoon released the behind-the-scene clips of the show, where director Lee Jae Gyu revealed that the production team built the school set from scratch. It was a 100-meter long four-story building turned into a school ground.

"It was basically like a four-story school building inside the set and we would just be there all the time,” Lee Jae Gyu revealed during the press conference. “So it felt like we were really going to school, but a really gloomy school.”

He also said it took them two years to complete the production of All of Us Are Dead due to the ongoing health crisis that resulted in a major delay.

The Zombie Choreography in All of Us Are Dead

Lee Jae Gyu also said they considered how to make everything look realistic, per Rappler. Aside from the cast members' martial arts training, the zombie actors also had choreography lessons.

Mind you, the series’ side characters weren’t just hired to act like zombies, but they were trained to do a special choreograph to synchronize their moves and make it unified. Everything was intricate and they took all the measures and preparations to perfect the series.

“We would do some test-shootings, and then we would have another rehearsal with the cast,” Lee Jae Gyu added. “I think that was the most important because what I wanted most was the realistic sense of the scenes. I wanted people to feel really immersed. I wanted people to feel, to be in that scene themselves.”
