There is little doubt that people are already excited about Hayden Christensen joining the Ahsoka series. After all, this means that Darth Vader will get an unexpected reunion with Ahsoka Tano. But how exactly will the former Anakin Skywalker be brought back in the show? The logo for the upcoming Disney+ series may have already spoiled that, and it's a cool connection to another Star Wars show.
Last week, it was confirmed that Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka. Although fans were delighted that the Star Wars prequel trilogy actor will be back in the new series, it also raised some questions about the timeline. After all, the show takes place after the events in The Mandalorian Season 2, which is, in turn, set a few years after Return of the Jedi?
So why does this matter? That's because Anakin died in the film and it wouldn't make sense for him to be back in Ahsoka unless Christensen will only appear in flashback. On the other hand, the logo for the show may have already revealed another way.
The Ahsoka logo strongly resembles the patterns we have previously seen in the World Between Worlds. The mystical plane powered by the Force was introduced in the Star Wars Rebels episode of the same name. Interestingly, it featured Ezra Bridger connecting with other Force-sensitive individuals, one of whom is Ahsoka herself.
The World Between Worlds would be an amazing thing to see in live-action and also the best way to ensure Ahsoka's encounter with Darth Vader will be a new one. If this is the case, we're hoping that there will be even more Star Wars characters who will appear in Ahsoka and interact with Rosario Dawson's former Jedi.
For now, the Ahsoka series has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to begin production in early 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
