Hollywood is mourning the passing of Ray Stevenson, star of The Three Musketeers, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, and the Thor film franchise who reportedly died over the weekend. He was 58.

First reported by Italian outlet Repubblica, Stevenson was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Saturday, May 20 although details have remained scarce as of writing. The actor was said to be filming a project on the island of Ischia, a drama titled Cassino in IschiaFrank Ciota.

The Wrap would soon pick up the news, reporting that the Irish star has indeed passed away on May 21 for reasons yet to be disclosed.

Stevenson's publicist would later confirm the sad news to Variety but still, the specifics surrounding his untimely passing have yet to come to light.

Apart from his multiple tenures in the Marvel Universe, playing both Punisher and Volstagg of the Warriors Three, Stevenson is also known for his work in the Star Wars franchise.

After doing voice work for two episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, he would later land a role in the standalone Ahsoka series which is set to hit Disney+ on August 31st. In the show, he plays Baylon Skoll, a mysterious Force-sensitive human who's going to be a thorn in Ahsoka Tano's side.
