A new report revealed that Agatha All Along has held the record for being the least expensive MCU series to date.
Since its premiere weeks ago, fans have been enjoying the WandaVision spinoff for its distinct tone and style as a fantasy comedy and the performances of the cast including Kathryn Hahn's hilarious performance as the titular villain.
Just like during the airing of WandaVision in early 2021, there have also been a lot of online engagements surrounding the series as fans share their theories on the mysteries and teases that the first three episodes have established.
Agatha All Along is the Least Expensive MCU Live-Action Series
A recent report confirmed that Agatha All Along is Marvel Studios' least expensive live-action series to date.
No numbers were given on the exact budget of the project, but it is "significantly" less than the other MCU series.
This comes as the first two episodes of Agatha All Along reportedly garnered 9.3 million views on Disney+ in their first week. It is considered to be a strong start considering that Agatha Harkness is not a marquee Marvel character.
Considering that the series has impressive visual effects, more episodes, and great production values in TV standards, it is truly commendable that Marvel Television was able to produce Agatha All Along on a smaller budget and it still looks as good as the other MCU shows that have bigger scales.
Most fans would argue that the show's lower budget was not detrimental at all to the overall results of what we've seen so far and you can tell that it was made with love and care by showrunner Jac Schaeffer and the crew.
We can safely say now that Agatha All Along is a win for Marvel and Disney+ considering that it managed to have strong ratings while still being produced with a smaller budget than usual.
Hopefully, the rest of the series will live up to the strong quality of the first three episodes and we will be able to find out soon how its overall results will fall in comparison with the other MCU TV outputs.
New episodes of Agatha All Along premiere every Wednesday night on Disney+.
