Aaron Paul Blames Netflix For BoJack Horseman Cancellation

Fans are understandably disappointed now that BoJack Horseman has been cancelled. But why was the beloved animated show axed in the first place? Aaron Paul doesn't know but he says that it was Netflix that decided to put an end to the series.

A fan recently reached out to Paul on Twitter begging for the show to be saved. Interestingly, the Breaking Bad star responded to the tweet with a short explanation of what truly happened to BoJack Horseman. Take a look at his post below.

"We had a wonderful time making Bojack. Couldn't be more proud. Fell in love with these characters just like everyone else did but sadly Netflix thought it was time to close the curtains and so here we are. They gave us a home for 6 beautiful years. Nothing we could do about it," Paul wrote.

It's a disappointing revelation considering that BoJack Horseman has been doing well after a shaky first season. For now, Netflix has not yet issued a statement about the cancellation but we're hoping that we'll get a clear reason why the series has to end.

In addition to providing the voice of Todd Chavez, Paul serves as executive producer for BoJack Horseman. He is currently set to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which will also air on Netflix on October 11.

BoJack Horseman Season 6 will consist of 16 new episodes. The final season will be split into two parts with the first half airing on October 25 and the latter part premiering on January 31, 2020.
