To more accurately convey the period in which it will be set, the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff has been given the new title 1923.
Yellowstone, created by Taylor Sheridan, is the flagship project of Paramount+, which has extensively invested in the showrunner's reputation as a result of the series' phenomenal popularity with each new season.

The Yellowstone spinoffs are a huge hit with Taylor Sheridan fans. The limited series 1883 was a big hit. Though they heard the spinoff was called 1932 at first, fans can now expect 1923.
“Taylor Sheridan has put roots down for the Dutton Family tree that stands strong and tall, with many branches that continue to engage record-breaking audiences,” executive producer David C. Glasser told TVLine. “It is awe-inspiring to work with Taylor, ViacomCBS, and the entire team on this universe.”
Who will join the 1923 cast?
So far, TVLine reports that the cast consists of Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, with no other cast members revealed.
Both Mirren and Ford have extensive acting resumes, and it's likely that they'll play the next generation of the Duttons in the new Yellowstone spinoff. Ford is best known for his roles as Han Solo and Indiana Jones in the Star Wars films. According to IMDb, Indiana Jones 5 is currently in post-production for a 2023 release.
For her acting, Mirren has received accolades from the Tonys, Golden Globes, Oscars, and Emmys. Due to the actor's services to theatre, Queen Elizabeth II made Mirren a Dame, according to Masterclass. Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect, Queen Charlotte in The Madness of King George, and Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen (2006) are just a few of Mirren's notable performances.

Taylor Sheridan's universe appears to have three spinoffs so far. The Duttons set out across the Great Plains in search of a place to settle in 1883, which is available for streaming on Paramount+. The year 1932 is most likely the next in chronological order, as it follows the Duttons in the next generation. The final spinoff will be called 6666, after the 6666 Ranch.
The release date for 1923 is unknown, but the series is expected to premiere in December, according to TVLine.
No details about who Ford and Mirren will play have been revealed, but it's assumed they'll both be Duttons, though it's unclear whether they'll be a married couple or have another relationship altogether.
