Could GOTG Star Dave Bautista Be Leaving Marvel For Good?

David Bautista's return to the WWE for the Smackdown 1000 has Marvel fans considered about the actor's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

WWE just recently announced the pro wrestler's return to the ring, confirming Bautista's reunion with superstars like Randy Orton, Ric "Woo!" Flair and Triple H.

While this new report has wrestling fans on the edge of their seats, Marvel followers can't help but wonder whether or not this single episode of WWE for Bautista might kickstart a lengthy return to the wrestling field, especially in the face of the actor's uncertain future in the MCU.

Marvel fans have been worrying about Bautista's future in the comic book movie franchise ever since the actor decided to defend Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.

The Marvel star who plays Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has been actively supporting the filmmaker, voicing his opinions about Disney's decision to fire the director.

Back in July, Disney decided to cut ties with the filmmaker after a smear campaign brought back to light a few insensitive and inappropriate tweets Gunn had made fourteen years in the past. Bautista was one of Gunn's most vocal supporters, saying that Disney ought to have given the director a chance considering how old the tweets were and how much the director had changed since posting them. Bautista even went as far as to put his role in GOTG 3 on the line in support of Gunn.

However, while Bautista and a number of fans and Hollywood celebrities rallied for Gunn's return, Disney decided to hold firm to its decision, leaving the director in the gutter and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 up in the air. At one point, Bautista even hinted that he was no longer sure whether or not he'd be appearing in Avengers 4.

With so much uncertainty surrounding his comic book movie career, fans can't help but wonder whether Bautista will extend his one-episode return in the WWE. What do you think? Will Bautista decided to rejoin the WWE permanently?

Avengers 4 makes its way to cinemas May 3, 2019.
