The First Five Minutes of Avengers: Infinity War Will Be Jaw-dropping

The common complaint about MCU villains is that they're two dimensional and lack interesting backstories, aside from Loki, Kingpin, Killgrave, and, arguably, Hela. Apparently, none of that will apply to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, who has been promised to be an intriguing and dominant villain. It won't take long to see how destructive he is, however, since Marvel head Kevin Feige has said the first five minutes are very important.

Addressing the crowd in Brazil Comic-Con (via Cinemablend), Feige said the following to fans in attendance:

So, within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Considering how much carnage he causes in the premiere trailer alone, it's easy to say that he will be one of the MCU's strongest villains to date. Ego the Living Planet would have been up there with him but the Guardians took care of the villain in their second film. Still, seeing the destruction caused by Thanos in the trailer, not to mention the possible deaths of the Asgardians, it looks like this baddie will be memorable.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 will then hit cinemas on May 3, 2019.
