While fans are anticipating next year's Avengers: Infinity War, there's already speculation on what Avengers 4 will be about. Thanks to social media posts from actors and the paparazzi alike, fans now know that flashbacks will be a huge part of the fourth film. It could also be time travel but that's just speculation at this point, though anything can happen with the Infinity Stones.
Sebastian Stan, who portrays Bucky aka Winter Soldier, is the latest Avengers 4 actor to tease a flashback scene and it's one of the more telling ones. We see Stan facepalming in the armory that was destroyed in Iron Man 3. Interestingly enough, Stan writes "December 16th, 1991," the start of the code that makes Winter Soldier comply with any demand made.
Obviously, Stan's mention of the code was to commemorate the date a few days ago but seeing him in Stark's old armory is very intriguing. Details on the flashbacks/time travel are slim to none, so the more of this we see, it gets more intriguing. There's no denying that the ending to Avengers: Infinity War is going to be one to watch.
