Star Wars Children’s Book Might Have Confirmed The Identity Of ‘The Last Jedi’

There's been a lot of debate on Star Wars: The Last Jedi's title ever since Lucasfilm dropped Star Wars: Episode VII's official name.

There's lot of confusion surrounding the phrase The Last Jedi, not only is its form a singular or plural noun debatable, it also poses the question on who exactly is (or are) The Last Jedi. Now, it seems like a new Star Wars children's book might have dropped the bomb ahead of the film's release.

According to a report by Star Wars News Net, a new Star WarsLook & Find activity book has been recently released, and while it's not a complete adaptation of The Force Awakens sequel (since it also features a lot of scenes from the first sequel trilogy installment) it does have a few pages taken from The Last Jedi.

In this pages, not only do we get to see the Porgs and the other inhabitants of Ahch-To, we also get a seemingly innocent but revealing description.

"Starkiller Base is vanquished, but Kylo Ren has escaped. Thanks to Rey and her friends, BB-8 brought Luke Skywalker's coordinates back to the Resistance. On their behalf, Rey travels to the planet Ahch-To, hoping to enlist Luke's help. While Rey persuades the last Jedi to join the Resistance, look for these rocky features…"

It's easy to slip past it, but the Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker is attributed as the last Jedi in the sentence "While Rey persuades the last Jedi to join the Resistance." While the children's book might be wrong, it's also possible that the last Jedi actually is in reference to Luke – after all, director Rian Johnson did say that he didn't put that much thought into the implications of the title. Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled to debut on December 15, 2017.
