Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Toy Hints at Boba Fett’s Return

EA and DICE's latest game may already be swarming with villains—if you still see them that way—but another one may be coming players' way.

Apart from being on the side of the Empire this time, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 may bring back a fan-favorite bounty hunter. The leak is more of a sighting than an actual confirmation from the developer. However, according to Game Transfers, Boba Fett may actually return following his stint in Star Wars: Battlefront.

The clue lies in a new leak via GameStop. A mask and toy gun merchandise products were showcased featuring the colors of the bounty hunter's usual get-up. More than that, the description does hint at his most well-known trait, which may be seen in Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

"Gear up like a Mandalorian warrior with this Nerf Rival Apollo XV-700 blaster and face mask! Inspired by the all-new Star Wars: Battlefront II video game."

There is no mention of Boba Fett, but considering what he is, and how the game's title was teased as inspiration for the toy, that seems to be a nice connection. But still not a solid one, of course, since DICE has only confirmed a couple of heroes and known personalities including Rey, Kylo Ren, Yoda, and Darth Maul.

We're expecting to see more things about Star Wars: Battlefront 2 at E3 2017 to be held this June. The event has always been a playground for gamers and a hotspot for announcements for upcoming games.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be out on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Nov. 17.
