Robin Wright Thinks Kevin Spacey Deserves a Second Chance

The Harvey Weinstein had sparked a huge wave in Hollywood, and several high-profile celebrities had found themselves outed for sexual misconduct—leading to several studios cutting ties with them. Kevin Spacey was one such actor who had gotten the axe, but House of Cards co-star Robin Wright believes that Spacey (and everyone else) deserves a second chance.

Talking to Net-A-Porter, Wright explained:

"I believe every human being has the ability to reform. Has the ability to reform. In that sense, second chances, or whatever you are going to call it – absolutely, I believe in that. It's called growth."

Spacey was outed by actor Anthony Rapp who had admitted that a young age, Spacey had come onto him during a party. Several other crew members from House of Cards had admitted that Spacey also acted inappropriately toward them as well.

When news broke out, Spacey was fired from House of Cards, and several other productions had cut him out of their films. The movie The Billionaire Boys Club, also got a delayed release since Spacey was starring as well.

So far, the #MeToo movement has been unforgiving to its victims; Louis C.K. even attempted a comeback last week, and was met with harsh criticism online. Wright does pose an interesting viewpoint on the issue though; should these offenders be allowed second chances or will they forever be condemned for the mistakes they've made?

We don't know what the future holds for Kevin Spacey, but we know that his co-star Wright is rooting for his growth.
